Feeding Inner Fire: Embodying the Seasonal Shift with Yin Yoga and Qigong w/ Ray
Saturday, April 11th | 2-4 pm | $40 or $75 for two people
As we navigate windy, unpredictable spring weather, we anticipate and manifest the sprouting of leaves and blooming of flowers. Meanwhile, our energy-bodies are undergoing a similar metamorphosis. We are integrating the deep work of winter and Water energy, we are flexing into the expansive power of spring and Wood energy, and we are preparing to draw forth the sprouting and blooming of our own relational energy and self-expression with Summer and Fire energy.
Join Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Qigong Practitioner, and Yoga teacher Ray Himmelman for a 2-hour workshop that will harness the bright, expansive energy of this seasonal shift towards our most authentic self-expression. Participants will engage somatically with the relationship between the Liver, Gall Bladder, Small Intestine, and Heart Meridians of the Chinese medicine system. We’ll explore, through the body, how grounding and focus influence our ability to cultivate discernment, self-awareness, and connection. We’ll explore how Spring and Wood energy feed the joyful, dynamic, relational intelligence that Summer and Fire energy invite.
We’ll begin by awakening our meridians with deep stillness, in meditative Yin yoga poses that
stimulate our synovial fluid, nourish our joints, and root our energy. Then we’ll open into flowing, gentle Qigong exercises that tone the nervous system, cultivate lifeforce, and activate self-aware, skillful, and joyful connection.
A Deep Reset Journey w/ Elisabeth and Michele
Sunday, March 22nd | 6-8 pm | $45 or $80/two people
Step into a portal of profound clarity and spiritual rebirth. This special event falls on March 22nd, a day marked by an extraordinary celestial “cazimi”—a moment where the Sun and Neptune sit at the exact same degree in Aries. In the heart of the Sun’s fire, Neptune’s dreams are purified and illuminated, offering you a rare window for intuitive breakthroughs.
With Mercury conjunct the North Node, the cosmic energy is pushing us toward our highest destiny. This is not a time for “business as usual”; it is a time for listening to the whispers of your future self.
In this 120-minute immersion, we bridge the gap between the conscious and the subconscious with Yoga Nidra, during which you’ll plant a Sankalpa (heartfelt intention) at a moment when the veil between worlds is thinnest, and a Sound Bath. As you drift in the liminal space of Yoga Nidra, a live soundscape of crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes will wash over you. These frequencies are designed to harmonize with the Neptune-Sun cazimi, dissolving mental fog and ego boundaries to reveal your inner truth.
During our time together we will share movement, breathwork, a yoga nidra with sound bath and a deep savasana accompanied by the gong, with space for self reflection as well as a time to gather in community. No previous experience needed. Please wear warm comfortable clothing, as well as bring a water bottle and journal/pen. If you are prone to headaches, please bring a head covering (beanie, hat, bandana, etc).
Yoga and Acupuncture: Wood Element w/ Tatum
Sunday, April 12th | 2-4 pm | $40 or $75/two people
Chinese Medicine follows a cycle that contains five phases. Similar to seasons in nature and life, each phase evolves into the next on a loop, forever. The Wood Phase (or element) is seen in a well rooted sapling, new beginnings, spring time, dawn, and the winds of change.
During this workshop, licensed acupuncturist and yoga teacher, Tatum Fjerstad, will share the various ways in which this element shows up in our lives and how to provide it with the care it deserves. After this discussion, she will lead you through a yin yoga practice and a long rest, during which you can choose to receive acupuncture in 5 points.
Pre-registration is required. Masks are optional for the discussion and for yoga, but required for acupuncture.
