Summer Solstice Sound Bath w/ Michele and Elisabeth
Sunday, July 26st | 7-8 pm | $50 or $90/two people
On June 21st this year, the Sun will reach 0° Cancer, while Chiron sits at 0° Taurus, which means they will form an exact sextile on the Solstice, creating a harmonious bridge between your core identity and your journey toward healing. This specific aspect acts as a cosmic green light, facilitating a smooth flow of energy between the Sun’s vitality and Chiron’s healing wisdom. While the Solstice usually provides the outward “push” of creative power, the sextile ensures that this energy is used to fortify your sense of security and physical well-being. It is a rare moment where the work of “healing the self” doesn’t feel like a struggle, but rather a natural evolution of your personal growth. In our practice, we will partner with this alignment while employing the yogic techniques of sun salutations and yoga nidra, along with the restorative vibrations of a sound bath.

Yoga and Acupuncture: Fire Element w/ Tatum
Sunday, June 28th | 7-8 pm | $40 or $75 for two people
Chinese Medicine follows a cycle that contains five phases. Similar to seasons in nature and life, each phase evolves into the next on a loop, forever. The Fire Phase (or element) is seen in a licking flame, bright flowers, buzzing bees, and joyful butterflies.
During this workshop, licensed acupuncturist and yoga teacher, Tatum Fjerstad, will share the various ways in which this element shows up in our lives and how to provide it with the care it deserves. After this discussion, she will lead you through a yin yoga practice and a long rest, during which you can choose to receive acupuncture in 5 points.
Pre-registration is required. Masks are optional for the discussion and for yoga, but required for acupuncture.
Sound Bath w/ Michele
Sunday, June 21st | 7-8 pm | $20
According to yogic philosophy, liberation comes when the mind can be directed and one’s inner light takes the lead. Paying attention to the activity of our senses is one way to direct the mind, and hearing is one of the 5 primary human senses. When we become fully aware of our hearing sense, with a heart of curiosity, we can decrease the tendency of the mind to act as master. Further, therapeutic sound has a unique ability to call forth the parasympathetic nervous response, as the ears are a seat for this part of our nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous response brings forth the feelings and sensations of relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. In a world that largely activates only our sympathetic nervous responses, therapeutic sound is so incredibly needed right now. Therapeutic sound can entrain the mind’s vibration into one of steadiness and directability.
In these monthly workshops, we will start with restorative breathwork that fses on lengthening the exhale, which is another way that yogic philosophy says will mold the mind into a more redirectable form. Then we will move into relaxation within the vibrations of therapeutic sound. The instruments of gongs, crystal sound bowls, and drums will be used to create these therapeutic sounds.
No previous experience needed. Please wear comfortable clothing. If you are prone to headaches, please bring a head covering (beanie, hat, bandana, etc). Minimum age requirement is 11 years old.
We are so excited to welcome you to a Yess Yoga special offering or training. We have a 48 hr cancellation policy.
