Summer is such a sweet time to see growth and expansion all around. I cherish the season when the coneflowers start popping and the cucumbers emerge. It always makes me feel so inspired to do the same. And by this time of summer, I need to return to some sort of grounding practice.

It is time for the balance dance. On one hand there is a desire to keep the fun alive. And on the other side, my body has never wanted to feel more rooted than now. I like to think about the Leo new moon as the campfire, the fixed fire that draws people near. The circle of gathering. The warmth for all. This is what we can return to. To feel rooted enough to radiate outward with all our warmth and radiance.

When we return, we acknowledge our intrinsic wholeness. We get time to remember our authentic Being. We also get to celebrate our growth and what we have learned through experiences. Returning honors our life beyond the patterns or habits (samskaras). Instead it anchors us into our essence.

May this time be the moment we get to take center stage of our own life with the confidence of being seen as our true self. And what is more Leo, then taking up space, just as you are!
What do you want to return to?

We would love to have you return to Yess Yoga. Join us for a class or workshop this summer. May this be the time we ground and witness our true selves in community.
