Nature is really dynamic, especially here in the north. Thus it can be helpful to name the cycles we are in and to relate to our environment. Acknowledging how much we change each year alongside the seasons, oftentimes supports us in feeling more grounded and focused.

Can we all agree that this cycle feels  potent? A week ago, the new moon strolled in with eclipse energy (which supports releasing). While also bumped up against the equinox, the shift when we move into more darkness and quiet. We had this balance of new growth / beginnings due to our new moon. Paired with releasing/letting go based on the eclipse and equinox energy.

Truly, it felt oddly balanced. A natural tug between two desires. It felt confused and yet clear.

This new moon’s focus is intentional adaptation, a concept adrienne maree brown uses in Emergent Strategy

It describes balance in a way that I really want to operate from. Which is, acknowledging that change is always going to be a truth. Adaptability and flexibility will always be a necessity in the ongoing change of the world, cycles and nature. AND we can be steady and rooted enough in our life’s purpose.  We can intentionally change while staying loyal to our authenticity and values.

I hope these new moon intentions support you in noticing your season of life, as well as our collective one. I hope it gives you a way to return and focus during the ongoing transitions of life.

“My dream is a movement with such deep trust that we move as a murmuration, the way groups of starlings billow, dive, spin, dance collectively through the air—to avoid predators, and, it also seems, to pass time in teh most beautiful way possible”
